Tropical Storm Nicole flooding NC

The east coast of the United States of America is being hit by the remains of Tropical Storm Nicole, which has started to break up after causing flooding in the Caribbean and also the recent Jamaica mudslides. The South is already feeling the consequences. NC flooding has already started. The Governor of NC has declared a state of emergency. There is a flooding advisory for each state from Carolina to Maine. There’s a chance there will be a twister in the region too. Thus far, these have been the worst effects to date of the 2010 hurricane season.

Flooding all of Carolina

A state of emergency was announced on North Carolina. As the governor of North Carolina, reports CNN, Beverly Purdue has the right to do this. Tropical Storm Nicole is dying off after passing Jamaica and Cuba. Sadly, it is hitting the U.S. coast first. Mudslides in Jamaica killed two people after being cause by the storm. The state received over a foot of rain in three days, and flooding has begun. The East Coast is expected to get more rain. Saturday October 2 we’ll see at least another 8 inches fall. 15 inches of rain has already hit Wilmington, North Carolina. You will find hardly any cars that can drive on those roads. It is hard to reach those people.

Twister watches

Tropical Storm Nicole will likely start a tornado on the East Cost someplace. New Jersey has started a twister watch. Apparently everywhere from Carolina to Maryland is watching and hoping nothing happens. Tornado and flash flooding warnings are everywhere. Even Washington D.C. is having a twister warning right now. Everyone in New York is worried that the subway system could get flooded if New York sees flooding.

Time of year ongoing still

The end of November is when individuals can stop to worry about the 2010 hurricane time of year. So far, the U.S. impact was mercifully light in contrast to past years. the country was afraid for Hurricane Igor and Hurricane Earl to hit. They ended up having just a little rain and being quite mild. By the time Sunday night has passed, Tropical Storm Nicole will be gone.
